We could realize how Hokusai’s works and IHACHIs’ are very similar, Hokusai must have been affected by the work. The orbs are precious treasures what give dreams to the people. The orb is same things what is seen on the hand of bodhisattva. There are three waves in the work. Waves are carved in each viewpoint, from up to down and down to up and from horizontal.
Characteristic of the sculpture is expressed in the angle from the side. Hokusai's waves become famous, because it was drawn from the side for first time in the wold. IHACHI went out to cape Taito in North of Isumi everyday to watch waves with a horse borrowed from the temple priest. If you visited to the cape, the waves IHACHI wanted to expressed would be in your eyes.
